Microdermabrasion is a quick, noninvasive procedure used to resurface the skin. In this technique, a stream of fine crystals and mild suction is applied to the skin. The flow of the crystals acts to exfoliate the outer layer of dead skin. The suction removes the dead skin cells and stimulates the microcirculation providing the nutrients needed for collagen production and skin regeneration.

Microdermabrasion can be used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, sun damaged skin, uneven pigmentation and enlarged or oily pores.

How long does each treatment take?

Each treatment takes approximately 30 minutes.

How many treatments do I need?

Although improvement in the appearance and texture of the skin can usually be seen after one treatment, a series of three to six treatments is usually recommended for optimal results.

How frequently can I have the treatments?

During the inital series, treatments are usually performed every 7-14 days. After this, maintenance treatments can be performed every 3-4 months.

What must I do before the treatments?

Products containing Retin-A and Alpha Hydroxy Acids must be discontinued for one week before beginning microdermabrasion.
